AutoLisp Program: Inset a 3D Face
Overview of the Autolisp Program InsetFace.lsp
This Autolisp program offsets an AutoCAD 3D Face primitive a user specified distance inside the 3D Face,
creates the new 3D faces, and deletes the original. This program works on both three and four sided faces.
After loading the program into AutoCAD ( Tools -> Load Application...-> then selecting the file, simply type
InsetFace at the AutoCAD command prompt to run the command.
Below is a screen shot showing the before and after results running the new command on two 3D faces.
